Hogwart's Main towers pictures

Well, it was really beautiful out a couple of days ago, so I hauled the middle section outside for some terribly photographed shots.

These are the two middle towers and the Great Hall building in front.

I still need to figure out how to make the roof for the great hall more sturdy and find a way to secure it onto the building. Right now it is only attaching on by the front overhang I made. See it there in the one shot? The sides need to be supported.

The other side photo also shows my lovely screen door scratched beyond recognition by our dog. Enjoy that, won't you?





Now the other side has Dumbledore's office in it.
His office has maroon colored spiral carpeting in it for Gryffindor.

I Iam so horrible at fitting my words in with these photos. Sorry about that!

Now, the room below I decided to make into one of the rooms the kids go into for finding the Philosopher's Stone in the first book. So I attached a 3Dimentional card of the kids catching the flying key here. I tried to photograph it and all three shots are too dark. When you move the card, (or now yourself as the card is sewn in), it looks like the kids move slightly.
The card is attached in the four corners with triangle plastic canvas with black yarn over it, (to look like those black triangles you lick and stick to attach a photo into a scrapbook).

Here's a shot looking straight down at Dumble's office. The cones are removed.



The doll will be able to stand in these when the roofs are gone, but he will only be able to lay across the two entrance from the side. I told you all how I would never be able to build a castle to scale with the dolls as that would just be way too huge. So this is how it had to be. Still, he can go inside and all.


Ok, now back to the other side. This is the Great Hall after the roof is removed. See that room inside this right tower?
I made this another room which Harry enters in the first book.
It has a 3D picture of the Mirror oe Erised in which Harry and Quirrel are looking into it and Harry sees himself with the Stone.

None of my shots could pick it up. I'm a terrible photographer.
Finally I have an inside shot of the Great Hall. I used the Sheild fabric so it is covered in house shields. Also on the end facing the towers, I used a fabric piece of a castle a friend sent me. It really looks a lot like Hogwarts even though it isn't official Harry Potter fabric. It looks nice above the doorway.


I need to add dowel rods to the sides to straighten them. They tend to want to flop in.

So then I need to attach the outer walls to the outer towers. Then it's pretty much done.

I still have chocolate frog portraits of famous wizards to attach to the walls. And I am thinking of making a clock face for this side out the inner tower. Just for show.

What do you all think? Any suggestions on anything?
